On the Independence Day in 2019, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji ideated establishing a Sainik School at Gorakhpur, 2nd Sainik School to be governed by the UP government) at Gorakhpur under the aegis of UP Sainik Schools Society and Hon’ble Chief Minister as its chairman. The foundation stone of this ambitious project was laid on 23 July 2021 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji.
