<p style="text-align: justify;">The glorious martyrdom of Late Capt Manoj Kumar Pandey, Param Veer
              Chakra, posthumously was observed here at U.P Sainik School on July 03, 2016. His Excellency, the
              Governor of the U.P State, Shri Ram Naik was the Chief Guest on this occasion, Proud parents of Capt
              Manoj Kumar Pandey, PVC were also present on this occasion.</p>

            <p><strong>VISIT TO NDA</strong></p>
            <p>We try to give exposure to our cadets and a visit to institution of excellence is a perfect way for
              this. A group of 22 cadets was sent to NDA, Khadagwasla, Pune to witness the passing out parade from
              29 May to 31 May 2016.</p>

                <p>To instil a sense of adventure and develop leadership skills a contingent of 25 cadets of class
                  XI
                  attended the Basic Mountaineering Course Cum Adventure Camp from 01 May to 26 May 2016 at Atal
                  Bihari
                  Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports Manali, Himanchal Pradesh.</p>

            <p>On Sep, 01 Capt Manoj Kumar Pandey, PVC Memorial Football Tournament was organized in the school. The
              grand finale of All India Capt Manoj Kumar Pandey, PVC, Memorial Inter School Football Tournament was
              truly the mother of all matches played in the tournament. Montfort Inter College lifted the trophy by
              defeating U.P Sainik School by 4-3 in penalty shootout. The Chief Guest of the match was Col A.K
              Singh, SM, Dy Cdt 41 Inf Bde, Lucknow. Mr Gopi Chand Pandey, Mrs Mohini Pandey the proud parents of
              Capt Manoj Pandey were the Guest of Honour.</p>

                  <p><strong>COMMEMORATION OF DEO TIBBA EXPEDITION</strong></p>
                  <p>On the momentous day of Sept 06, 47 years ago, history was
                    created as nine teenaged boys of the age group 13-15 years climbed Mt Deo Tibba, 19,687 ft high
                    in
                    Himachal Pradesh. These boys were cadets of 1966 and 1967 batches of U.P Sainik School. To
                    commemorate
                    the successful expedition on Sept 06 an interesting presentation was conducted by the team
                    members.
                    The presentation was an attempt to apprise the present generation with the planning and conduct
                    of the
                    U.P Sainik School Mountaineering Expedition to Mount Deo Tibba in Aug- Sept 1969.</p>
