MOTIVATIONAL TALKS

Motivational talks to the cadets by senior dignitaries is a regular feature. The following senior officers were invited for motivational talk:

(a) Brig R P Kalitha: On the occasion of All India Inter School Late Flying Officer Animesh Srivastava Quiz competition held on Aug 25, 2011, Brig R P Kalitha was the chief guest. On this occasion during his motivational speech to the cadets he exhorted them for organising their skills to achieve the goal, which is qualifying NDA. He urged the cadets to ignite their mental and physical spark which is often in a latent state and go unnoticed unless one deliberately strives for it.

(b) Col Sammer Sharan Kartikeya: In his address to the cadets Col Kartikeya explained the importance of teamwork and leadership to the budding officers. He stressed on the new awakened need of defence forces in today’s troubled times. “Defence forces are the last bastion for the common man in today’s scenario when the edifices of society are fast crumbling down,” he opined.

(c) Brig (Retd) D N Varma: ‘XIX Capt Sunil Chandra VrC Memorial All Indian Inter School English Debate contest’ held on Oct 14, 2011 was the occasion when the ex-cadet of the school and the president of Old Boys Association, Brig(Retd) D N Varma addressed the cadets to motivate them. His special emphasis was on the importance of personality development and careful nurturing of behavioural pattern of the cadets. He urged the students to work for the real success which is a sum result of hard work and righteous intentions.

(d) Air Marshal (Retd) R C Bajpai: In the series of motivational talks in UPSS, Air Marshal R C Bajpai had shared his experiences and motivated the cadets with his ideals of truth and sincerity on 3 Nov 2011. He told the cadets to uphold the values of sincerity, dedication and hard work and imbibe officer like qualities of self sacrifice, welfare of people and to uphold the welfare of our country at the top. He clarified the queries of the cadets with his experienced touch and simplicity. While narrating his personal experiences of courage, confidence and commonsense, he left the cadets spellbound and commanded a hilarious response from them with clapping.
